Compare Two PDF Files and See What Really Changed

PDFezy compares two versions of a PDF word by word and shows you every difference. The comparison itself uses no AI, so every mark is a real change. AI then groups the changes, names them and ranks them, so edits to money, dates and obligations are flagged High and appear first. Click any change to jump to it in both files, then download a change report. Scanned PDFs are read with OCR, and free use covers the first 50 pages of each file.

How to Compare Two PDF Files in 3 Steps

  1. 1

    Upload both versions

Put the original on the left and the revised version on the right.

  2. 2

The Changes That Matter, First

Long documents can have hundreds of small edits. PDFezy sorts them so you don't miss the important ones. Changes to money, dates and obligations are flagged High and go to the top of the list.

Each change also gets a short name, such as “Payment term changed from 30 to 45 days”, so you can scan the list before reading the pages.

Tips for an Accurate Comparison

  1. 1

Put the older version on the left (Original) and the newer one on the right (Revised).

Then additions show as added, not removed.

  2. 2

Compare two versions of one document.

Two different contracts will show almost everything as changed.

  3. 3

For Word files, convert both with Word to PDF first.

Both files then go through the same conversion.

  4. 4

Check the High changes first, then scan the rest.

That's where money, dates and obligations are.
